Help

We recommend the following way of working with the interactive browser. The user selects the main analysis (incidence, mortality, incidence & mortality, prevalence, survival) and, in the next step, selects the specific type of analysis required (analysis by year, sex, age, region, clinical stage, combination of age and clinical stage, combination of age and cancer type). After selecting the desired analysis, a window with the result according to the basic settings is displayed. These settings can be further changed at the following two levels: selection of the patient group to be analysed and detailed settings of the analysis output. The patient group to be analysed can be chosen according to the following filters: Cancer type, Sex, Region, Age, and Year. According to the selected analysis, the software will offer the appropriate computational method, e.g. absolute numbers, rate per 100,000 population, percentage, and overall 5-year survival... The “combine years” button allows the display of the visualisation either for individual years (the button is inactive) or as a whole (the button is active). The primary output of the interactive tool is a chart. A table with numerical values can then be displayed for each chart for further use.
